# What is the Subtext API?

## The Subtext API allows your business systems to communicate directly with your Subtext campaign. ↔️

The **New York Post** incorporated **SMS into their Sports+ subscription** so that subscribers could access texts from Post writers as part of their subscription package.

**APIs work for artists too!**

When **Bradley Simpson** looked to launch his newest album, his team decided to construct an entirely new website and **incorporate our API to manage subscribers**. Through this integrations, subscriber info could be passed both to their CRM system and to the Subtext dashboard.
